International Women’s Day is Saturday, March 8, 2025. This year’s theme is “Accelerate Action”. The theme is a call to action to rapidly expand gender equality as the current rate of progress projects complete gender equality in the year 2158. “Accelerate Action” prompts us to take action to address systemic barriers and biases.
IWD asks that we 1) Support the Supporters, 2) attend IWD events, and 3) fundraise to make March 8th the biggest “Giving Day” of the year. IWD also encourages us to support organizations that support women’s economic empowerment, have female leadership, protect women’s health education and care, and celebrate the achievements of women.
