Where to get your Coffee Fix

  • Grace Street Coffee: Hidden on a side street, this cafe serves ethically sourced coffee and pastries from Pluma by Bluebird Bakery. It’s worth a visit when you need your next caffeine hit!
  • Blue Bottle Coffee: A bright space with a communal table, Blue Bottle is a great place for a morning coffee. It’s on a cobblestone walkway off of Georgetown’s bustling M Street and their west coast inspired friendly vibe will have you coming back for more.
  • Bluestone Lane: If coffee isn’t your go-to— don’t worry, Bluestone Lane has a range of wellness drinks, organic teas, and cold-pressed juices. (As well as a premium range of Australian coffees). It’s located in the oldest standing firehouse in Washington D.C. at 1066 Wisconsin Ave NW.

Where to Eat Lunch

  • Sweetgreen: The most iconic salads are located at 1044 Wisconsin Ave NW in the very first ever Sweetgreen location! This fast-casual restaurant has now expanded to 75 locations and for very good reason. They are the perfect healthy lunch to fuel you through your day.
  • 1789 Restaurant & Bar: Have an important client you need to impress? Bring them along to the renovated Federal house named after the year Georgetown University was founded. Consistently ranked for amazing modern cuisine and fresh ingredients, you will not be disappointed.
  • Le Pain Quotidien: A bakery with an old-time charm that stands for the community is so very Georgetown. Sit in the cozy dining room or the courtyard patio and enjoy their simple yet delicious menu at 2815 M Street NW.

Where to Eat- Dinner

  • Bangkok Joe’s: A lively modern space with dumplings, rice dishes & cocktails, this is the spot if you like Asian cuisine. There’s also a full bar and happy hour.
  • Filomena Ristorante: Filomena is a family-inspired Italian restaurant. It’s upscale, fully decorated, and has house-made pasta. Experience one of Georgetown’s most highly regarded eateries at 1063 Wisconsin Ave NW.
  • Bourbon Steak: Located in the Four Seasons hotel at 2800 Pennsylvania Ave, Bourbon Steak is a classic American steakhouse offering seasonal regional fare with a modern twist. Where to Take a Break

  • Take a stroll through Georgetown Waterfront Park — full of restaurants & retail along the Potomac River.
  • Walk down the C&O Canal — the quiet path that runs from M Street in Georgetown to Cumberland, MD.

Logistics— Getting to Georgetown

  • Ride the DC Circulator— two lines come to Georgetown
  • Metrobus has a number of lines service to Georgetown depending where you are coming from
  • Metro— The Foggy Bottom GWU Metro Stop is an easy 15-minute walk to Georgetown
  • Drive— there are more than 20 lots and garages
  • Bike— If you are lucky enough to live close enough, bike on over, Georgetown is very bike-friendly. There are also scooter rentals.
